45-49 Health Assessment – This comprehensive health check is recommended for all people between 45 and 49 years of age. People within this age range may be at an increased risk of developing a range of chronic health conditions. This health assessment can assist patients to make the lifestyle changes required to prevent or delay the onset of chronic illness. The health check may assess one’s nutrition, alcohol consumption, physical activity, mood, family history, Blood pressure, weight, and blood pathology. This health assessment is a bulk-billed service provided in conjunction with our clinic nurse and treating doctor.
At our clinic, this assessment provides an opportunity for patients to receive a thorough evaluation of their physical, emotional, and lifestyle-related health. It also helps identify early warning signs of conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, mental health concerns, and other chronic illnesses. Our goal is to support patients in making positive lifestyle changes that can prevent or delay the onset of chronic disease.

How long does the assessment take?
The full assessment can take 30–60 minutes, depending on your individual needs and any additional tests required.
Is this health assessment bulk-billed?
Yes. The assessment is fully bulk-billed, meaning there is no out-of-pocket cost for eligible patients.
What should I bring to the appointment?
Please bring your Medicare card, any recent medical reports, a list of medications, and information about your medical or family history.
What happens if the assessment identifies a health concern?
Your GP will discuss the results with you, provide advice, and may arrange follow-up appointments, further testing, or referrals to allied health providers to support your health goals.
