Weston Creek Family Medicine is pleased to introduce Mrs. Pooja Bontu, Independent Audiologist and founder of Candid Hearing.

Pooja completed her Master’s in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2009 in India and gained two years of professional experience before relocating to Australia in 2011. Since then, she has been a full member of the Australian College of Audiology (ACAud) and is a registered provider with the Office of Hearing Services, WorkCover, and the NDIS.

With over a decade of experience in a corporate audiology setting, Pooja is a strong advocate for patient-centred care. Her vision for Candid Hearing is to combine professional expertise with compassion, offering tailored hearing solutions that recognise the unique needs of each individual.

Having worked across various regions of Australia, Pooja has now called Canberra home for the past ten years. She is well-regarded by her clients for her dedication, empathy, and commitment to achieving the best possible hearing outcomes.

Services Offered

• Comprehensive Hearing Tests – For pension concession and DVA Gold Card holders (Government-funded – no cost to client).
• Hearing Assessments – For private patients, children (8 years+), WorkCover cases, NDIS participants, and pre-employment checks. (GP referral eligible for Medicare rebate up to $55, included in the $150 assessment fee.)
• Hearing Aid Fitting, Programming, Repairs & Maintenance
• Tinnitus Evaluation and Management – $220 for a 60-minute consultation.
• Ear Protection and Assistive Listening Devices
• Ear Wax Removal (Microsuction) – $165 per session.
